oin Two Bikes for a casual group ride as we explore one of Knoxville's most unique natural sanctuaries, Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area. Over a scenic 5 miles, you can expect great views of the Tennessee River and observe the various flora and fauna that call Forks of the River home. Maybe we'll even see a turkey or two! Along the way there will be stopping points to rest and to learn about the history of the Tennessee River and the wildlife management area.
Two Bikes is a nonprofit bike shop that promotes sustainability, opportunity and community through its Bike School and Pedal It Forward programs.
The Route: This casual ride will begin at Ijams Nature Center Visitor Center. The group ride will head easy along the Will Skelton Greenway to its terminus at the Whaley trailhead in the Forks of the River WMA before heading back to the starting location. There will be various stopping and resting points.

Mileage: This bike ride will cover 5 miles of the Will Skelton Greenway. While the Greenway is a great escape from cars and other motorized vehicles, there is no escape from the hills of Knoxville! Participants should expect to bike over mildly hilly terrain, at an average pace of 8-10 MPH (a casual, leisurely pace).
Things to Bring:
1. Your bike! At this time, we unfortunately do not have loaner bikes available.
2. A helmet (this is non-negotiable)
3. Water & snacks
4. Layers!
5. Patches or other tire-repair items are always a good idea, too.
Ages: This program is designed for ages 10+.
All participants under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
